Betonamu hansen ~ Nihon Jin no negai

Book contains 323 pages.

Front cover filled with Hanko (name stamp) in a hand(s)(5) and a central head also filled with hanko. This is a reoccurring motif that Kiyoshi Awazu uses in many of his posters in the 1960's.

There is also red splatters possibly to symbolize blood and a photo that looks like an eye. The Hanko is a  form of a signature in Japanese culture. In the poster  it acts as a signature of the people who either caused or contributed to the incident and also shows how permanent it is to the people. The cover can also be read as those people have blood on their hands for their actions agains the people.
